Summer 2022 Pre-Season Update

Hello ARL Players,

With the season opener just days away, we are hard at work putting together the final rosters. This last weekend before the season starts is by far our busiest.

We plan on releasing the schedule for the first few weeks by Tuesday next week. Just know that you definitely will be playing with a start time between 7 PM and 10:30 PM on Friday, May 6th. (Oh, did we mention we are eliminating the 11 PM start times this season? We are eliminating the 11 PM start times this season.)

The schedule will be distributed to the team captains who will in turn reach out to their teammates. If you do not hear from your captain by this coming Thursday, please contact [email protected].

After the first few weeks pf play, we will have a better understanding of the teams’ skill levels and may make trades in the name of balance. This is a good time to remind all players that, while we strive to accommodate requests to keep groups together, there still is the possibility larger groups will be broken up.

Thank you for your patience and see you on the ice.

Season Start and Vaccination Reminder

Hello Everyone,

We are just days away from our October 15/17 opening weekend.

With that, here are some important details to note:

  • For context below, Fully Vaccinated refers to 2 doses of a recognized COVID-19 vaccine and a 14-day waiting period
  • You will need a piece of ID and your vaccine Dose Administration Receipt at the point of entry for the arena
    • While a pre-screen for vaccination status was completed at the time of sign-up, the facilities still require a point of entry check.
    • Only the receipt listing 2 doses is required. No need to show both the first dose receipt and the second.
    • A digital copy will be accepted, such as showing it on your smart phone. No need to print it off.
    • As noted above, a 2 week waiting period is required to be considered fully vaccinated.
      • To play in the Oct. 15th games, you must have received your 2nd dose on or before Sept. 30.
      • To play in the Oct. 17th games, you must have received your 2nd dose on or before Oct. 2.

Register for Winter 2021/22

Hello everyone,

You can now register for the ARL’s upcoming Winter 2021/22 season.

This season, the registration process is tad more complex due to how the previous season abruptly ended, but it basically breaks down into 2 categories of players:

  • If you were not playing in the Winter 2020/21 season, this is your chance to register for the upcoming season.
  • If you were playing in the Winter 2020/21 season, you should read the post at Return to Play – W2021/22.

There are a few points to take note of:

Return to Play – W2021/22

Hello ARL Players,

We are happy to announce that the ARL will resume play in October. Here is the plan.

OVERVIEW

The 2021/2022 season will begin on Friday October 15th/Sunday October 17th and end on February 27, 2022.

As previously communicated, the Winter 2020/21 has been deemed a write-off.

With rosters already created, so many games left unplayed, and registration fees already paid, we determined the best course of action is have a shortened Winter 2021/2022 season.

This will include 14 regular season games, then 3 playoff games and conclude with the Championship Weekend, for a total of 18 games.

The teams and divisions will remain the same as they were in W2020/21, but stats and standings will start fresh.
