The Puck is in Motion

Greetings ARL Players,

With arenas back in business as part of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, the ARL is well underway in planning our upcoming season.

Players who participated in the Winter 2020-21 should keep an eye on their email inboxes in the coming weeks.

We’re excited to get back on the ice and the ARL is doing all we can to ensure a safe and fun environment when we return to play.

Stay Tuned!

ARL Pandemic Update – 2020/21

We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy.

We were hopeful that we would be able to continue the Fall/Winter 20-21 season at some point, but the Provincial guidelines did not allow for it.

As our business has had to endure yet another shutdown, we must turn our focus on planning for the next ARL season. Unfortunately, we don’t have those answers at the moment due to the current situation but we will be ready to go when able!

We will work with the ARL committee on future plans which includes the process of applying credits towards the next season.

We appreciate your continued patience and we will continue to provide updates based on any new information we may have.

Please direct any questions you may have to [email protected]

Regards,

Winter 2020-21 On Hold

Hello ARL Players,

While presently we do not have a lot of information to share, we regret to inform you that we are in a position where we will need to pause the season as of Monday November 16th due to provincial and municipal COVID-19 protocols.

Games will be played on Sunday November 15th to finish week 7 of the Fall/Winter schedule.

We do not know how long restrictions will be in place.

When play does resume we plan on extending the season schedule to allow for the number of weeks missed. This would likely result in a shortened summer season.

We will monitor the situation over the next several weeks. Once we have more information to share we will.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

Sincerely,
The ARL Committee

[Updated] Register Now for Winter 2020/21

Updated 2020-09-30: Hello ARL Players – Registration is pretty much done and many teams are full. Roster spots are about 98% full league wide.

We need one goalie in D5.

Right now players will only be slotted in available roster spots. Specific requests will be very difficult to accommodate. We are unable to expand because we do not have the demand for goalies to justify going up by two teams in any division.

Hello ARL Captains and Players:

In light of the recommended guidelines from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) with respect to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the ARL is considering every safeguard to ensure the safety of the participants, officials, volunteers and fans who take part in our great game. As a result, for the ARL playoffs and Championship games, we are asking teams to replace the traditional postgame handshake with a fist pump (gloves on).

Despite reports of the risk being low for contracting COVID-19 to the general public in Canada, we are doing our due diligence in communicating the following information/recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada:
