As of Sept 11th, 2021, the Province of Ontario has only recognized the following medical exemptions:
If you fall under either of these categories, you have 2 options in lieu of uploading your proof of vaccination receipt:
In either case, you may need to present your exemption documentation at the time of entering any facility used by the ARL.
Making false claims of a medical exemption is grounds for ejection from the ARL and/or the Wave facilities.
The purpose of this upload is to verify the COVID-19 vaccination status of any individual (“player”) registering to play in the ARL – Adult Rookie League (“ARL”). The status will be determined by the Dose Administration Receipt provided by Ontario Health either at the time of vaccination or when you registered your status with the province. To obtain your Dose Administration Receipt in PDF format or for more information, visit the Ontario COVID-19 information page.
A valid status require 2 doses of a WHO recognized COVID-19 vaccine (eg. Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Janssen) and at least a 14 day waiting period between your second injection and your first ARL match.
This verification check is required by the Government of Ontario under the category of “Facilities used for sports and fitness activities and personal fitness training, such as gyms, fitness and recreational facilities [..]”.
If you are medically exempt from taking the vaccination, a doctor’s note stating the same can be uploaded in place of the Dose Administration Receipt.
It may be considered a provincial or federal offense to upload a fake (“forged”) document. Please only upload the original, unmodified PDF obtained by Ontario Health’s COVID-19 portal (or a copy they emailed to you).
Information and details surrounding the proof of vaccination program for Ontario may still be forthcoming. Anything above could be subject to change at any time, with or without notice, as we follow the Government of Ontario’s instruction.
The provided document will only be used to validate vaccination status. Once manually verified by a member of the ARL Committee, it will be purged from our system. We do not keep a copy on your digital profile. It will not be stored for a period of greater than 14 days. Only a member of the ARL Committee will be able to view the document (and even then it will probably only be the web admin who sees the document as the others really dislike trying to navigate the management console). It will not be transmitted over email. It will not be shared with any 3rd-party, including The Wave (the ARL owners). We will not share vaccination status with any entity outside of the ARL, although there must be an understanding that simply being in the facility is proof to any observer that you have met the Government of Ontario’s vaccination requirements.
Verifying your vaccination status is only applicable for registering with the ARL. It does not automatically grant access to the facilities (“arenas”) which may require proof of vaccination at the time of entry.
The ARL website uses a secure communication channel known as TLS (v1.2 and v1.3). A SHA256 Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (EDCSA) certificate for the encrypted channel. The web servers are located in Canada with secure access by a single Administrator and action logging. Domain Name System (DNS) and Content Deliver Network (CDN) services are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., a trusted and reputable provider. Software is continuously updated with the latest security patches available. You should only submit information on the site if the browser connection is secure (eg, Google Chrome/ Microsoft Edge example). We considered using a 3rd-party document upload service in leu of our own platform, but we decided we wanted full control over any transmitted materials and not trust them to another company’s Terms of Service (ToS). All reasonable means have been taken to protect information submitted on the ARL website.
You should only continue below if you paid the full registration fees for Winter 2020/21.
If you withdrew partway through the season and have already received a refund/credit, no action is required.
If you withdrew partway through the season and have already received a refund/credit, please wait until registration opens on Sept 4th.
