Announcing the ARL Boxing Day Tournament 2017

Good day everyone,

We have been able to secure some ice time for our annual Boxing Day Tournament. It will be held on Tuesday December 26th at Wave Twin Rinks from 7 pm through midnight.

There will be a guarantee of four games. We are looking for four teams of 15 players and 1 goalie. Positions will be held on a first come first served basis. Bruce has been kind and brave enough to take on this hefty project. He is confident there will be 60 plus ARL players and friends to occupy the rosters spots and create a fun event for many. The price will be $65 per person.

Deadline for registering will be Tuesday December 19th. Teams will be built immediately up to and following the deadline and captains and players will be notified as soon as possible once everything is done.

To register, or for more information, please visit the registration page.

Don’t delay! Register today and by all means bring a friend or two but as always… Keep the ARL spirit and mission of friendly competition in mind.

Regards,
ARL Committee

Fort McMurray 50/50 Draw

What an incredible night! I’ve experienced a lot of exciting moments in my short hockey career, but what I witnessed last night by far surpasses all of that. This idea came to light on Thursday morning. Our expectation and goal was to raise $500 to send to Fort McMurray. We purchased 1000 tickets. By 8:15, we were making a dash to purchase another 600. I always knew this was a great league with a great group of people…last night changed my mind…this is a phenomenal league with a phenomenal group of people. ARL Closing Weekend

So as you all know the Fall/Winter season is coming to a close this weekend. In our customary fashion we are hoping that we can get as many players and their individual entourages together to celebrate a fantastic season.

We realize that four teams are playing at Appleby Arena and that due to our huge numbers sixteen teams have to wait until Sunday to finish the season but we truly hope as many of you can come out as possible. Continue reading “ARL Closing Weekend”
