ARL September News!

We are now moving into our second month of the Fall/Winter ARL season.  This past Saturday was our first monthly Skills/Shinny and was a huge success.  All skaters that attended are asking for more of these. We have an hour of ice one Saturday a month.  Please keep an eye on the website for the details on the next session.  The next skills session will be October 24th.

This week, October 2nd, will be our first PLAYER SWAP week.  Should be lots of fun and a good way to get to know other ARL members. The way this works....your team captain will choose two members from the opposing team... could be a forward, defense or goalie.  The other team captain will choose two from your team.  For this Friday night only, the chosen players will trade jerseys and move to the opposing team.  So, mix it up and enjoy!

A bit of a warning....one of the change rooms was robbed this past week.  The thief went through all pockets and took everyone’s cash going through pockets and wallets.  We talked to the Wave and they now have keys available for change rooms.  If you are in a room that can’t be locked then please leave valuables at home or take to the bench with you.  Guys, please lock your change room door.
                                                                                         
NOTE - The schedule has been changed a bit.  There was a week missing on the original schedule so we have added that date (Jan 29th) and moved everything back a week.  We are also going to use the last 3 weeks of season play as part of our year end playoffs.  So go to the website and have a look.
We have made a few trades here and there to try to even teams up a bit.  Thanks to all involved for your co-operation. 

NOTE – we will post a sign up form on the website next week for our Wave ARL tournament running Friday Jan 1 to Sunday Jan 3. Please sign up early for this tournament as it has always been a lot of fun – ARL-style.
