Update

Not long now, ARL members, until the first official drop of the puck.  Just a couple of things to keep you updated.  The teams are set, the shirts are on their way, the captains have been appointed and we're meeting with the refs on Wednesday night!  Things are ready to roll.  Hope you are all as keen as I am to get started!  Our shinnies have been very successful so far in getting some of our players out for a bit of a skate and some fun.  Here are the plans for the nights of April 18th and 25th. 

April 18th 
6:30  Grillers vs Tsunami
7:30  Homies vs Lightning

April 25th 
6:30  Drips vs Streaks
7:30  Etceteras vs. Mayhem. 

Your captains will be contacting you shortly with all the details. 

The website is looking amazing!  Thanks to Scot for all his hard work on that.  The schedule is there now and soon we will be showing stats.  We have a couple of volunteer photographers to help us out so be watching for some great shots of true ARL play!  The plan is also to put team photos on the website.  You'll be seeing a weekly news letter from me but if you ever have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me either by phone or Email.  I'm always happy to listen to suggestions..AND the occasional complaint!  

At our refs meeting, we will be discussing such things as the importance of safe, non-agressive hockey.  Also, we'll be expecting the refs to occasionally help our beginners out with things like playing positions, giving some suggestions on how to improve play and simple things like that.  They will know for sure that this league is to for fun. 
So start loosening and limbering, ARLers, we'll be lacing up those skates soon!
