Pre-Season Ice Times
Hello to All Our ARL Players
Here's an update on the pre-season ice time for our first season of the Adult Rookie Hockey League. First of all, we have booked March 21st, Good Friday, at 1pm. This will be open to the first 24 people to Email and confirm they are coming. The cost will be $10 each. We will just warm up and play a bit of shinny, get to know each other.
Then the official ARL league warm ups will be the last two Fridays in April, the 18th and the 25th. Ice time is from 6:30 - 7:30 and then another hour from 7:30 - 8:30. The plan is to have teams somewhat arranged by then and those teams will play at their specified hour. We will have a couple of refs there to go through the rules and help us out with some of the basics. Maybe do a couple of warm up drills and then play some shinny. The shirts will probably not be in until the first game so please bring a practice jersey and some socks for the pre-season skates.
Due to the overwhelming, positive response we've had to the ARL, we've gone ahead and added two more teams. This brings us to eight teams for our very first season! Because of the addition of these teams, we once again have a few openings to play. If anyone has a friend that wants to join or knows someone that has been thinking of playing social hockey, please let them know that this is their chance! We will fill these spots quickly.
We are going to begin organizing teams shortly and will send out your pre-season skate time and the season schedule ASAP. Things are progressing really well towards our first ARL drop of the puck! We are really looking forward to a great season of fun, socializing and playing HOCKEY!
